Schedule NowMinimize Time in the Dental Chair with Sophisticated Dental Implant Robotics
Dental implant surgical planning has evolved from physical guides to computer-generated and dynamic surgical guides. While advances in dental implant technology have led to 95–98% success rates, the Yomi® implant robot at Smile Rejuvenation Implant Center offers an elevated dental implant experience.
As the first and only FDA-approved dental robot, Yomi enables exceptional precision and accuracy in implant placement, supporting ideal restoration positioning to enhance aesthetics, function, and long-term success. It is especially valuable for full-mouth dental implant procedures.
At Smile Rejuvenation Implant Center, Yomi technology improves surgical accuracy and implant longevity—while your procedure remains fully under the control of our skilled implant dentist. Yomi serves as a highly advanced procedural aid, enhancing—but never replacing—our clinician’s surgical expertise and training.
Yomi Relies on AI Guidance to Accurately Place Dental Implants
With Yomi-guided dental implant surgery at Smile Rejuvenation Implant Center, CA, a 3D scan is taken of your underlying structures, which is loaded into the integrated Yomi software. This enables virtual planning of every aspect of treatment for full-mouth dental implants, including placement, depth, angulation, and determining if bone grafting is necessary. Once you’re sedated, a second 3D scan is taken with a splint in place, and preoperative markers are added to enable tracking of every movement.
Following protocol, our implant dentist, Dr. Michael Rice, confirms that the robot has accurately identified your underlying structures by touching a preselected landmark with the tip of a drill. Then, he advances the handpiece close to the surgical site and enters “guided mode” to proceed with drilling small holes for the dental implants. Visual, audio, and haptic feedback are used in real-time to position the implant drill in the correct 3D location. The robotic arm resists any incorrect movements and releases an auditory beep when the proper position is reached while showing the virtual plan on a screen.
