If you’re missing at least one tooth, you likely have much in common with the millions of other people living with tooth loss. Maintaining oral health with tooth loss can present many challenges, but that doesn’t mean settling for dentures or avoiding your favorite foods. Full-mouth dental implants are a game-changer for extensive tooth loss because they offer a natural, durable, and hassle-free solution that restores comfort, function, and self-assurance. Advances in dental technology and affordable single, multiple, and full-mouth dental implants in Santa Rosa, CA, will help you rediscover the joys of eating, speaking, and smiling with newfound confidence!
A dental implant consists of a titanium implant post-replicating the function of a missing tooth root, a connecting abutment, and a restorative crown, bridge, or full arch prosthesis. Due to innovations in implant technology and techniques, immediate-load smile restoration can often be accomplished the day after getting full-mouth dental implants. Whether you need to replace one or all of your teeth, dental implants at Smile Rejuvenation Implant Center provide unrivaled versatility, durability, longevity, and natural-looking aesthetics!

Are You A Candidate For Dental Implants?
What to Expect When You Get Dental Implants
Consult & Planning
Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Rice. During this visit, we’ll evaluate your oral health, discuss your goals and the dental implant cost, and review your medical history to determine if you’re a good candidate for dental implants. Diagnostic imaging is used to assess the condition of your jawbone and is essential for planning the precision placement of full-mouth dental implants. If failing teeth need to be extracted and/or require bone grafting, these preliminary procedures are scheduled before dental implant surgery. While some healing time may be necessary before your implant procedure, this phase is essential for long-term success.
The Procedure
On the day of your surgery, local anesthesia and your choice of sedation are used to minimize discomfort and anxiety. The biocompatible titanium posts are carefully placed into your jawbone, assuming the role of the missing tooth roots after they fully integrate. If you’re getting full-mouth dental implants, Dr. Rice uses the Yomi dental robot to guide meticulous placement of the implant posts, unlike some practices that place a temporary prosthesis immediately following full arch implant surgery. Dr. Rice prefers to wait until the next day to allow time for you to recover.
Can't Afford Dental Implants? Here's How We Can Help
Follow-Up Visits
Normal side effects include swelling around your gums and face, slight bruising, pain at the implant site(s), and minor bleeding. At your first post-surgical visit, we remove any sutures, look for signs of infection, and ensure everything is healing correctly. During subsequent visits, we assess your oral hygiene and look for signs of peri-implantitis, an inflammatory condition similar to gum disease that can lead to implant failure. We may take digital X-rays to ensure there’s no sign of bone loss around your implant(s).
Healing & Final Restorations
As your implant sites heal, the tooth implants fuse with your jawbone in osseointegration, typically over three to six months. During this phase, the connecting abutments are attached to the implants if not installed in one-stage surgery. The final step is securing a custom-made zirconia dental crown, bridge, or full mouth prosthesis to the abutments. This restorative tooth or teeth is meticulously designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, both in appearance and function. Dental implants are designed to last a lifetime with proper maintenance, which includes brushing, flossing, and professional routine dental care.
